Our Body Moods - Mickel Therapy E-News

Your body has moods, ignore them at your peril

by Dr David Mickel

Many of you undergoing Mickel Therapy will understand this phenomenon. Quite simply our bodies do indeed have moods and like any mood it can change at the blink of an eye. As we know our primary body e-motions come and go as they please and so no amount of positive thinking can change their reality. In other words the body never lies or indeed gets things wrong at its e-motional level. The e-motions are unchanging truths.

How this presents itself in the cases we treat is often confusing to the client who can get a sudden increase in their symptoms while doing something 'fun'. This is often confused with over exertion. However we must trust in the fact that bodies never send symptoms to get us to rest it uses healthy tiredness for that. When a client proves this to themselves then a return to health is just a short step away...

A common example of the nature of body moods is when a person is sitting watching television and they start to get symptoms worsening despite the program being their favourite. Often they will imagine that it is a call to go and rest but this is not the case. In fact what has happened, whether they like it or not, is the body's mood has altered and in simple terms it has become bored and is requesting a change of activity. This may seem unlikely but it is the truth.

Similarly a client may say "why did I feel good doing the garden on Monday but when I tried on Wednesday my body sent me loads of symptoms?" The answer is, of course, that the body does indeed have moods. The great challenge for all people with energy disorders is to redevelop their relationship with their body and to trust it and go with the flow of its moods. All Mickel Therapy practitioners are trained to help facilitate this. One word of advice - don't try to fight the body or its moods as it will not respond well to this. Its opinion cannot be argued away.
