The Mickel Therapy program

After working with clients for a few years now, it has become clear that in order to do justice to the Mickel Therapy techniques and for you, the client, to gain maximum benefit, it is necessary to complete a minimum of 6 sessions.

For this reason, the Mickel Therapy clinic now offers a minimum 6 week block program during which time a certain number of key techniques and exercises are delivered. Appointments are set a week apart, during which time you will be putting into practice the lessons and exercises you have learnt during sessions.

Clients may choose to continue for additional sessions at the end of this 6 week period.

The first session is a 'stand-alone' session, at the end of which you have the opportunity to commit to a minimum of 5 sessions.

Why committing to a program of sessions will improve results

Mickel Therapy Appointment Information

Sessions are available by phone, skype or in person at the clinic. Many clients are located around New Zealand and overseas and results have proven that phone / skype sessions are equally effective as in-clinic visits.

First Appointment

The first appointment is 90 - 120 minutes. During this session you will learn:

  • why and how the body creates symptoms
  • how the body communicates to you via emotions and symptoms
  • why your body is sending you your particular symptoms or creating the condition you have been diagnosed with
  • the message that your body is trying to tell you via symptoms, in other words, what it would be saying to you could it speak words
  • how you can start coaching yourself back to health using the first Mickel Therapy technique

Follow Up Appointments

All follow-up appointments are one hour. However, if for any reason we need to extend the time, for example, if you are travelling from out of town and want to make the most of your long trip, or we need more time during the session, that can be accommodated for an additional fee.

During follow-up appointments we will:

  • monitor your progress in using the Mickel Therapy techniques
  • ensure you understand how to use the different exercises
  • give you personally relevant exercises and strategies for continuing to bring your body back to health
  • support you mentally and emotionally on your journey

Which Program should I take?

After the first session, which is a stand-alone session, you will have the choice of embarking on either a 5, 7 or 9 week program. The recommended program will be advised at the end of the first session according to your specific needs.

Whilst the longer programs are more cost-effective on a weekly basis, the program recommended will be based solely on your unique needs. As a guide line, most people take the 5 or 7 week program, and then, if they want more sessions have the option of either continuing with single sessions or another block program of either 3 or 5 weeks.

Most people will find that 6-8 sessions is the average number needed before they are symptom-free, although this can be less for some people and more for others.

What is the difference between the programs?

All the programs are very similar but the main differences are as follows:

  • the 5 week program uses only Mickel Therapy techniques, which are exercises, tools and strategies designed to bring the body back into a state of balance emotionally, mentally and physically.

  • the 7 week program is the same as the 5 week program but may include more Mickel Therapy exercises and also 'POSITIVE TRANSFORMATION' sessions which work at a subconscious level to clear limiting beliefs and emotional traumas from the past. Using these techniques usually helps speed up progress.

  • the 9 week program is similar to the 7 week program but just allows more time to include more techniques and practice.

Payment Terms and Conditions

Cost of phone calls

In most cases the Mickel Therapy Clinic will pay for the phone call. However, if the cost of the phone call is prohibitive, the call will need to be made by the client. This will be advised upon booking your first appointmnt.

Program Completion

Block programs must be completed within the stipulated timeframe: For 5 week programs this is within 7 weeks. For 7 week programs this is within 9 weeks. For 9 week programs this is within 11 weeks.

There are no refunds for unused appointments.


Payment is accepted by online banking, credit card, cash or cheque. There is an additional credit card fee for credit card payments.

Payment for phone or skype sessions is to be received at least 2 working days before the appointment.

Payment for the 5 week program is to be made on or before the first of the 5 sessions.

Payment for the 7 or 9 week program can be made in two installments as advised at time of booking, with the first installment due on or before the first of the block program sessions.


Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees are advised at time of booking your first appointment.

Once you realize that it has taken many years to get to be experiencing whatever symptoms your body is sending you, it is only reasonable to expect that it will take more than one session to recover your health. Not only do you need new knowledge and understanding, which is provided during your treatment, you also need time to practice the exercises you will be given.

In my experience, 6 sessions are the minimum number of sessions required to begin to get a fundamental grasp of mastering the new information, tools and exercises you will be given during Mickel Therapy.
